2021 Gold Cup: Championship format

The Gold Cup starts in a similar way to other intercontinental events in the world, first in the group stage and then in the knockout stage:

group matches: The 16 national teams are divided into four groups. Each team will play three games as part of the round robin. The top two in each group will advance to the quarterfinals.

Knockout: The eight teams that have advanced from the group stage are matched in the scheduled quarter-finals based on their performance in the group. The fixed brackets for the quarter-finals and semi-finals of the single knockout rounds to be held in Las Vegas on Sunday, August 1 will allow two teams to participate in the finals.
